Senate Ovie Omo-Agege declared the meeting with the President ’successful’ suggesting that the emissaries working on behalf of the embattled National Chairman are making headway to resolving the differences and cracks that became clearly visible after a court ruled to remove him as the party Chairman.
The APC National Deputy Publicity Secretary Yekini Nabena, earlier this week called on the President to wade into the crisis which was affecting the cohesion of the party.
The National Executive Committee of party scheduled to meet March 17, but the meeting was viewed with suspicion by some party members who equally called the meeting illegal and said it did not reflect the party’s national aspiration.
The Party national secretariat was sealed up shortly after Adams Oshiomhole was given a court order to step aside as the National Chairman of the party last week. The action raised consternation among party faithful.
