Tegina Abduction for Ransom Update: Niger State Governor assures parents of government’s resolve to rescue the children

MON 21 JUNE, 2021-theGBJournal- Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello today met with Parents of the 136 kidnapped students of Salihu Tanko Islamiya School and other stakeholders in Tegina at the palace of the Emir of kagara, HRH, Alhaji Ahmed Garba Gunna to commiserate with them and assured them of Government’s resolve to rescue the children.

Dr Abubakar Sani Bello also addressed troop’s, men and women of the Nigerian police, civil defense and vigilante corps shortly after a meeting with parents of the abducted students.

He equally was with the state commissioner of police ADAMU USMAN, chief of staff  Ibrahim Balarabe and commissioner for local government  Abdulmalik Sarkin Daji at Government Science College Kagara.

The State government began the pursuit of the bandits in May 2021 shortly after they abducted the students and intensified efforts to identify the bandits.

The students aged six to 18 years  were abducted following attack by gunmen who shot two people during the raid.
